Question 3

What have you learnt from your audience feedback?

Peer feedback –

Getting feedback from our peers really helps as they see what work we put in in class and they understand as they are doing the same work as us.

There were 4 feedback sheets that people in our class said they liked the editing – 2 people said they liked especially the fast paced editing when it was the drummers solo.

This helped us decide that we definitely wanted to keep in the drum solo where the editing really picks up pace. It shows off our skill in terms of editing and emphasis's the drummers skill.

A lot of the peer feedback said nother improvement for us was to have more energy in the performance. Harry was the main singer of the band so me and toni had to make him energetic and ready to perform like he is actually in a band. We again looked back at music video from indie rock bands and said to him he need to perform more like that.

The teachers feedback included that they liked the editing during the breakdown of the song and that our editing on and off the beat was very good.

This gave us the reassurance that our editing is a strength and something we don’t need to work on. Editing is important is important in music videos so I am glad we mastered the editing.

Our draft we handed in on the 3/12/13 got peer feed back and everyone (9) said an EBI is to synch it up. The singer was out of time which was very obvious hence they reason everyone put it in the EBI box. The reason the lip synching wasn’t correct is because when we was filming the band shots they drummer was so loud we couldn’t here the music so the singer found it really hard to sing a long to the song because he could hardly hear it.

4/9 people said another EBI for my group is if Harry performed better/ was more enthusiastic. It is important the performance meets the expectations of the audience otherwise they will find it boring and want to watch something else. Sometimes music videos can let the song down so it is important everything in the music video is perfect. These feedback sheets were given completed on the 3/12/13
